Above you see a picture of the Orion Nebula. Taking a picture of one thing can cost my dad and I a whole night: between set-up, tracking, and taking the pictures themselves, it will take hours. For example, the process of taking a picture of Mars is about 4 hours, starting at dusk and not including set-up time. That means that every picture taken has costed us one night. Sometimes we are lucky enough to take pictures of two different things in one night, but the quality is not as good as it could be.
